The Golden Letter Checklist

- Lowercase Opening: In German, the first word after the salutation comma starts in lowercase (unless it is a noun): "Lieber Thomas,
ich hoffe, es geht dir gut...". - Connectors (Konnektoren): Use B1 linkers: weil, da, obwohl, deshalb, trotzdem, außerdem.
- Appropriate Closing: Informal: Herzliche Grüße | Formal: Mit freundlichen Grüßen (no comma after the closing formula in German!).
