Frequently asked questions
Do I need to pay to start?
No. The level test needs no account. After you register every mock exam paper at your level is free, with Lesen and Hören graded, plus one graded writing task and one graded speaking answer.
Is this an official Goethe product?
No. Prüfungsmeister is independent. We prepare you for the exam. The exam is booked and taken at the Goethe-Institut.
Does it renew automatically?
No. You pay once for a level pass. It expires on the date shown and does not charge you again.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in your browser, on a phone or a computer.
Can I pay in rupees?
Yes. Prices are in rupees and payment is through Razorpay — UPI, cards, net banking.
How is the AI correction different from a grammar checker?
A grammar checker finds spelling errors. This checks whether your text does what the exam task asked, whether the form is right, whether the register is right, and gives you the corrected version with an explanation.
What if I already have an exam date?
